Meet The Face Behind Sherer Video Production Inc.
I’m Nathan Sherer, the proud owner of Sherer Video Production Inc. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
Before getting into the video business, I owned and operated Slack Shack, a menswear store with several locations throughout Pittsburgh. When that business went under, and with two children to support, I reverted back to my passion. I started Sherer Video Production Inc. in 1982 with the firm belief video was the future.
Now, thirty or so years later, one thing has not changed, change itself. Beautiful developments and innovations that you can hardly imagine are still happening in the field on a regular basis.
As a people person, I love having a window into other people’s lives. Partnering with my clients on what is often their most momentous day or event and witnessing their happiest times is my favorite part. The thing about owning a business like mine is that business relationships will transcend into lifelong, treasured friendships.
My business philosophy is based on communication, knowing my clients’ needs, and seeing their vision.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my integrity.
I attribute my success to hiring the right people, doing things right, and never short-changing my clients but exceeding their expectations.
Back in 1991, I was on-site in Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, filming Russian immigrants. They were getting off a plane after having been saved and transitioning to a new homeland. I also had the honor to intimately document the famous operatic tenor Luciano Pavarotti’s three visits to Pittsburgh in 1987. He took super-stardom to another level, and witnessing moments such as these has given me immense satisfaction over the years.
When I am not at work, which is incredibly rare, I enjoy as much time as possible with my family. I’m a father, a husband, and a grandfather, and these relationships are my number one priority and driving force.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
